New animation of dust around black hole
A cool video with an artistic illustration of our recent study, showing dust clouds going around the supermassive black hole and reacting to the increasing radiation from the inner region. In the very center is the black hole with gas spiralling into it in a from of the accretion disk. The gas is heated to very high temperatures and starts emitting strong radiation. As the luminosity of the disk increases, dust clouds are exposed to the strong pressure and clouds from the edges and the inner region are destroyed or blow away.
